Symbology at Prazeres Cemetery
Did you know that the choice of ornaments in the decoration of cemetery graves and monuments was not random? The elements engraved in stone tell us stories about the past, through animals, flowers and allegories, identifying families through coats of arms and professions through work tools; among all this and always present, Death, embodied in different funerary symbols.
