First edition of Piano City Lisboa will feature more than 30 free concerts
With a program "for the young, for the established, for the elderly, for the Portuguese, for foreigners, for Lisboners, out of doors, accessible, free, transversal, inclusive", this festival is coming to Lisbon for the first time, with the piano as its protagonist.
At the presentation of the event, part of the "Festas na Rua" program, Laurentina Pereira said that this was the "first opportunity to bring the piano and make it the protagonist". The festival, she added, "promotes municipal cultural spaces, noble spaces with extraordinary gardens that almost look like open-air concert halls".
Piano City Lisboa has the collaboration of Lisbon City Council, and will take place in the Palácio Galveias Library Garden, the Coruchéus Garden and the Lisbon Museum Garden - Palácio Pimenta.
