Free screenings in Lisbon on World Hepatitis Day
As part of the celebrations for World Hepatitis Day, which takes place on July 28, Lisbon City Council, in partnership with the Directorate-General for Health and the Portuguese League Against Aids, began free health screenings.
On July 26, screenings for HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis were carried out at the Beato Municipal Emergency Accommodation Center, offering access to essential health care for the most vulnerable population.
The awareness-raising and screening activities will continue this weekend at the Saldanha Citizen's Bureau and are aimed at all residents, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of viral hepatitis.
