LEFFEST 2025 presented in Lisbon

The 19th edition of the Lisboa Film Festival (LEFFEST) was presented today at the Paços do Concelho. From November 7 to 16 - with the support of Lisbon City Council - auteur cinema, meetings with directors, debates and artistic performances will take place on eight stages across the city.

2024 edition of LEFFEST (18th edition) The event, which runs from November 7 to 16, 2025, has the support of Lisbon City Council and will bring to the city ten days dedicated to cinema, music, literature and contemporary debate. Cinema São Jorge, Cinema Medeia Nimas, Culturgest, Teatro do Bairro, Auditório dos Recreios da Amadora, Cineteatro D. João V, Galeria Zé dos Bois and NOS Amoreiras are the venues dedicated to another edition of the festival.

The program reinforces the city-cinema character that distinguishes LEFFEST, and consolidates Lisbon as an international stage for the seventh art.

"Cinema, theater, art and culture, but specifically cinema and theater, are the blood system of a city," said Carlos Moedas, mayor of Lisbon, at the presentation of the program, attended by Paulo Branco, director of the festival.

Among the novelties of this edition are the festival's debut at Culturgest and the extension of the program to the municipality of Amadora. The LEFFEST 2025 edition also features a new visual identity, which reflects the energy and dynamism of the celebration of the seventh art in Lisbon.
