Magic returns to the streets of Lisbon

The 12th edition of "Lisboa Mágica" kicked off today in Praça do Município. From August 20 to 25, the festival will entertain those passing through the city's streets, squares and gardens, with 175 free shows, spread across 13 venues in the city.


The "Lisboa Mágica Festival" has the participation of 15 artists from eight countries, who will be performing at Praça do Município, Arco da Rua Augusta, Jardim Avelar Brotero, Jardim da Estrela, Jardim Fernando Pessa, Largo do Carmo, Largo do Chiado, Jardim Museu de Lisboa - Palácio Pimenta, Palácio Baldaya, Parque Bensaúde, Parque Ribeirinho Oriente, Praça Luís de Camões and Parque Tejo.

At Praça do Município, city councillor Sofia Athayde, accompanied by well-known illusionist Luís de Matos, thanked all the magicians, highlighting the fact that this initiative is taking place "in a public space, so that anyone can see, hear and appreciate the beauty of magic:"

"The International Street Magic Festival" began in 2006 and is a showcase of the best in street magic. It is part of the "Festas na Rua" event, the full program of which will be announced shortly.
