Merchant Counter available in Lisbon Stores

As of today, the Lisbon Shops in Baixa and Saldanha have a Merchant Counter exclusively dedicated to the sector. The initiative, part of the Municipal Strategy for Proximity Trade 2025-2030, aims to support and strengthen local trade.

The Merchant's Desk, which opened today, is a response to the needs of entrepreneurs in the sector, and aims to bring together the essential services for their activities in a single point.

This is "a concrete step in the City Council's commitment to the city's entrepreneurs. We want to simplify processes, facilitate access to information and strengthen trust with those who boost street commerce and contribute to Lisbon's economy," said Diogo Moura, Councillor for Economy and Innovation.

In addition to technicians from Lisbon City Council, the Loja Lisboa da Baixa counter will have technicians from the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Services of Portugal (AHRESP) and the Union of Trade and Services Associations (UACS) to provide information on municipal support and incentives for street trade companies; training and legal support programs; available lines of financing; regulations and legislation relevant to the business sector; publicizing events and business initiatives, and facilitating contacts with entities that support commercial activity.

The service is available online and in person, by appointment on the Lisboa Comércio page.
