Mobility week promotes sharing public space

"Combine and Move - Shared Public Space" was the challenge launched this year during European Mobility Week, which ran from September 16 to 22. Lisbon once again took part in this initiative with a series of activities and programs promoting healthier and more environmentally friendly modes of travel.

Throughout the week, in various parts of the city, citizens were invited to use public spaces for more active mobility, with initiatives such as "LisboaAtiva a tua Rua" and "Lisboa Sobre Rodas "

The future of pedestrian mobility in the city, taking into account accessibility, urban planning, sport and culture, was also debated at the "A Pé Por Lisboa" conference, which brought together experts from various fields.

The closing of this year's European Mobility Week coincided with European Car Free Day on September 22. Along the Ribeira das Naus, by bicycle, running or walking, in groups of friends or with the family, many people took advantage of this space.
