Sapadores-Graça Health Unit serves 15 thousand people

The Sapadores-Graça Health Unit is set to serve around 15,200 users in the parish of Penha de França, reinforcing access to primary health care. The building, with five floors and 1,882 square meters, includes general and family medicine consultations, pediatrics, family planning, oral health, nutrition, psychology, clinical analysis and home support.

The project is the result of a protocol between Lisbon City Council and the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Regional Health Administration, with a total investment of 4.8 million euros, of which 3.4 million were financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

"The aim is to bring healthcare closer to the population and create better conditions for professionals," said Carlos Moedas, the mayor of Lisbon.

The Rua da Penha de França is to be redeveloped, with improvements to pedestrian access, the introduction of trees, street furniture and new lighting.
