Between July and September, participants in this initiative will be able to enjoy 12 unique activities: boat trips, meeting animals, smelling the scent of nature and immersing themselves in the stories of cemeteries.

In the 19th century, the Language of Flowers was known by everyone and used to exchange messages between friends, family and lovers

In the 19th century, cemeteries chose the flowers to be carved on the graves to convey a message to those who came to pay their respects and to future generations. Beginning with an accompanied visit to the exhibition inside the chapel, where some of the most popular plant species in the Portuguese cemetery context are presented, then moving on to a visit outside, among the funerary monuments, where more plant species are discovered, with their meanings, curious personalities and stories linked to the theme.

What to look out for: comfortable shoes and clothing
