Lisbon's Christmas lights

The 1,050 illuminated structures and 5,900 decorative pieces form a magical route with 182 km of light, the equivalent of more than three laps of the city. Using highly efficient LED technology, the project guarantees energy savings of around 80%, combining beauty, tradition and sustainability.

The 2025 illuminations reinforce Lisbon's environmental commitment.

Between the hills and the glow of the Tagus, luminous clouds and suspended stars appear, symbols of hope and sharing. Each street tells a story, each light reflects a wish, an invitation to contemplate, meet and celebrate the magic of Christmas.

Among the many attractions, the iconic Christmas Tree, installed in Praça do Comércio, stands 30 meters high, overlooking the majestic Tagus River and Baixa Pombalina, and is one of the most popular spots for residents and tourists.
