Qualia

A sensitive reflection on human experience, the fragility of reality and the possibility of encounter through painting

In "Qualia", Daniela Reis explores painting as a territory of tension and transformation. The works invite the visitor to slow down their gaze and remain in a time of contemplation, where the pictorial matter welcomes states of conflict, suspension and recomposition. The artist understands this process as seeking to "capture the essence of the encounter, of the crossing of paths and destinations, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts".

The exhibition is constructed as a sensitive field where painting doesn't just represent the world, but acts upon it. As Daniela Reis says, "the abyss of reality is stabilized in painting, allowing it to be resolved - albeit temporarily". In this sense, the works are in permanent mutation, affirming painting as an active gesture of thought, listening and resistance.

"Qualia" summons the body, memory and emotion, proposing an experience that goes beyond the immediate reading of the image. Those who visit, those who experience by looking, are invited to inhabit this in-between space where painting becomes a place of questioning, of welcoming the real and opening up the possibility of meeting oneself, the other and the world.
