RESSOA - Echoes of the World
The result of a co-creation process, "RESSOA - Echoes of the World" is a concert that celebrates the dialog between cultures, bringing together sounds, memories and stories of migration.
RESSOA is a collaborative and multidisciplinary artistic project based on music and its relationship with oral narratives, which, during the year 2025, aims to offer training, create opportunities and open up professional paths for migrant artists living in Portugal who find themselves in situations of isolation, exclusion and precariousness. The project also aims to facilitate meetings between migrant and Portuguese artists and music students and young people from different cultural backgrounds.
RESSOA's symbol is its means of transportation: the train. Given the diagnosis of the growing migrant population and the corresponding growth of xenophobia in Portugal, the train will serve as public transport and a way of giving visibility to the project, as well as a metaphor for the migratory dynamics experienced by the participants.
