Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize 2018 - 2024
MUDE - Museu do Design is hosting the exhibition "Prémio Valmor e Municipal de Arquitetura 2018-2024" (Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize 2018-2024), which marks the process of reinstating this benchmark prize for architecture in Lisbon.
Over the course of seven years, 1,333 works were appraised, resulting in 20 awards. The award-winning projects that stood out the most in terms of improving the city's built heritage and public spaces will be represented.
The exhibition also includes the launch of a commemorative publication documenting this cycle of recognition of Lisbon's architectural excellence.
The current Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize is the result of the merger, in 1982, of the Valmor Prize and the Municipal Architecture Prize, and the works to be assessed by the jury are all those that have obtained a license to use in the year to which they relate.
