What can an image say
What can an image say is an artistic and pedagogical project developed by MEF - Movimento de Expressão Fotográfica (Movement of Photographic Expression), developed in institutional partnership with the Directorate-General for Reintegration and Prison Services - Juvenile Justice, with financial support from Novo Banco.
"We believe that every young person has a story inside them that deserves to be told." In this exhibition, that story is given form and voice through photography and video - instruments of freedom, hope and personal expression.
At the Bela Vista and Navarro de Paiva Educational Centers in Lisbon and the Padre António de Oliveira Educational Center in Caxias, this initiative promotes a space for listening and creation, where art becomes a path of discovery, transformation and affirmation. Each image on display is born out of their experiences and their desire to build a different future. In addition to being visual records, they bear witness to identity, freedom, hope and the will to change.
