City Council approves plans for Gender Equality, LGBTI+ and Combating Domestic Violence

On July 19, the City Council approved the proposals for three municipal plans for the period 2024-2026: Gender Equality, LGBTI+, Prevention and Combat of Violence against Women, Domestic and Gender Violence.

The new LGBTI+ plan is an evolution of the 1st LGBTI+ Municipal Plan of the Municipality of Lisbon 2020-2021

The proposals for the plans, which have already been submitted for public discussion, include "the suggestions and contributions considered appropriate and compatible", in the documents approved today at a meeting of the executive, signed by the Councillor for Social Rights, Sofia Athayde:

  • III Municipal Plan for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women, Domestic and Gender Violence of the Municipality of Lisbon 2024-2026;
  • II Municipal LGBTI+ Plan for the Municipality of Lisbon 2024-2026;
  • II Municipal Plan for Gender Equality of the Municipality of Lisbon 2024-2026.
