Climate neutrality brings Lisbon closer to French cities
Between February 4 and 6, a delegation from Lisbon City Council visited the two French cities for the second time in the context of the Twinning Learning Program. The initiative is part of Lisbon's participation as a Pilot City and the strengthening of the partnership with Courcy.
Over the course of three days, the delegation took part in technical meetings and field visits to deepen their knowledge of local solutions for mitigating and adapting to climate change, share experiences in terms of governance and defining climate policies and identify "replicable approaches and new opportunities for cooperation".
According to the municipal environmental services, the exchange "strengthens cooperation between European cities" and contributes to the development of integrated urban strategies, in line with Lisbon's commitments under the Climate Contract.
