Diplomatic Corps received in the Town Hall

The Diplomatic Corps accredited in the capital was received on January 23 at Lisbon City Hall. The reception highlighted Lisbon as a "city with a sense of belonging", open to its citizens, ideas and the world.

At the customary annual ceremony at the Paços do Concelho, Carlos Moedas, Lisbon's mayor, highlighted the city's stability as a determining factor for its international positioning: "Lisbon offers stability. Stability to invest, stability to work and stability to innovate."

The Diplomatic Network is made up of all the embassies and consulates of friendly countries, which represent the interests of their respective states in Portugal.

Currently, 163 ambassadors are accredited in the country, of which 86 are residents and 77 are non-residents.
