For the first time held the day after the Marathon, today's races, starting from the Vasco da Gama Bridge, linked the north of the city to the historic center, crossing the riverside area to the finish line in Terreiro do Paço.
Lisbon City Council has supported the race since its first edition. In the municipal sports strategy "everyone counts": from the youngest to the oldest, in the practice of physical activity, or in top-level sport.
