Futurália in Lisbon promotes educational success
Over four days, from March 11 to 14, the event will showcase different study and professional development paths in Portugal and abroad, such as degrees, academic mobility programs, language courses, exchanges and scholarships.
National and international universities, polytechnics and colleges are participating with information on training programs in various areas, as well as summer programs and academic opportunities in different countries. The space dedicated to higher education also features university residences.
Lisbon City Council is taking part with a space dedicated to promoting the city's public school network, with special emphasis on vocational courses and artistic education, in order to "value these areas of education and reinforce their role as relevant routes to educational success".
Lisbon's Councillor for Education, Rodrigo Mello Gonçalves, visited the fair and highlighted the importance of integration and the school community, praising the film project presented by the students: "Schools are the first meeting point for cultures, experiences, differences and challenges in integrating and socializing people," he said.
During the event, several of Lisbon's public schools will present their educational offer and projects developed by students. The Lisboa Educação space also includes a program of activities under the motto Give Schools a Stage.
