Lisbon hosts Tourism Job Fair
The initiative, with the support of Lisbon City Council, promotes direct contact between employers and candidates for tourism jobs in a single space, facilitating the recruitment process on the spot.
At the opening session, Diogo Moura, councillor for Economy and Tourism, stressed the importance of the sector in the city's strategy: "In Lisbon, tourism is a strategic vocation".
During his visit, the mayor highlighted the role of people and careers in the sustainability of the destination: "Tourism isn't just made up of hotels, events or airports. It's made with qualified, motivated and recognized workers."
At the end of last year, the Portuguese capital was voted Best Destination in Europe for congresses, meetings and corporate events for the third time. The prize was awarded at the 2025 edition of the World MICE Awards, in Bahrain, and once again highlighted Lisbon as one of the main international destinations in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions category.
