Lisbon is Europe's Best Congress Destination

The Portuguese capital was voted Best Destination in Europe for congresses, meetings and corporate events for the 3rd time.

The prize was awarded at this year's World MICE Awards in Bahrain and once again highlights Lisbon as one of the leading international destinations in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions category.

The distinction "demonstrates Lisbon's ability to attract events that generate investment and jobs", said Carlos Moedas, Lisbon's mayor. Business tourism, he added, "is now a central part of the city's development strategy, and this recognition shows that we are consolidating a leading position in Europe".

With 153 association events held in 2024, Lisbon is in second place in the ranking of European cities with the highest number of events in this field.

The World MICE Awards distinguish excellence in business tourism, highlighting destinations, operators, venues and services.
