Lisbon sends ladder vehicle and reinforces team in Leiria

The Lisbon RSB reinforced the operational response in Leiria by sending a ladder vehicle and two more operatives to support the affected populations. This vehicle allows for work at height, especially the laying of roofs and the stabilization of damaged roofs.

With this reinforcement, the Lisbon City Council (CML) team now has four vehicles and 12 operatives, compared to three vehicles and ten personnel initially on the ground.

RSB Lisbon resources in Leiria:

• 1 tactical command vehicle;
• 1 vehicle for fighting forest fires;
• 1 special logistical support vehicle.

The unit also includes an intervention support trailer with a 100kVA generator and a special rescue and assistance module.

The reinforcement is the result of coordination with the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority to support the most affected municipalities.
