Lumiar to have more affordable council housing

According to the proposal, approved on July 19 at a town hall meeting, the building to be constructed on plot G2, in the Paço do Lumiar urbanization, will have nine floors for housing, with 41 dwellings, and one floor below ground for parking, with the first floor occupied by two stores. The maximum execution time will be 540 days.

In order to increase the supply of affordable municipal apartments in Lisbon, "the construction of buildings on suitable municipal land has been defined as a priority", points out proposal 453/2024, signed by the Councillor for Housing, Filipa Roseta.

The contract to be launched was the subject of an application for funding under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
