New public discussion in Marvila-Beato
The urban development operation covers an area of around 27 hectares and its objectives are urban regeneration, the promotion of territorial cohesion, integrated mobility and the creation of housing, including affordable housing. The project also includes the creation of around 14 hectares of green areas, including a new urban park, the enhancement of existing heritage and the strengthening of urban links with the surrounding areas.
This intervention aims to "promote a more cohesive, sustainable and inclusive city, with a strong focus on public space, mobility and housing".
As part of the public discussion, two public presentation sessions will be held on January 29th and February 5th, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, at the D. Dinis Secondary School, in Rua Manuel Teixeira. Dinis Secondary School, in Rua Manuel Teixeira Gomes. Participation is free, subject to prior registration.
A guided tour of the intervention area is also planned, at Calçada do Duque de Lafões, no. 82, on January 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., also subject to registration. These initiatives aim to "present and debate the urban intervention with the population, promoting public participation".
