The 2024 harvest has begun at the Lisbon Wine Park

For the second year running, Lisbon residents were invited to take part in the grape harvest that gives rise to the "Corvos de Lisboa" wine. The initiative revives the tradition of the grape harvest in the heart of the city, in a partnership between Lisbon City Council and Casa Santos Lima.

This year, two wines are to be produced: a white from the Arinto variety and a red from the Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz varieties, and on the very first day a quarter of the vineyard was harvested, with 5.3 tons of grapes being picked.

The initiative "is a way of promoting our city's wine diversity and provides a unique experience for Lisboners to be in touch with nature," says Environment Councillor Ângelo Pereira.

This year's harvest festival, near the Rotunda do Relógio, in Marvila, featured entertainment from the Danças e Cantares do Minho Ethnographic Group.
