Voter turnout in local elections exceeds 56%

The provisional results of the 2025 local elections point to a national voter turnout of 56.58%, according to data from the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (SGMAI).


The elections took place smoothly today, October 12, with a large turnout in the early hours of the morning and late afternoon, and will elect the representatives of the municipalities for the 2025-2029 term.

The final results will be released after the official count is completed, in the next few hours.
