St. Anthony's weddings 2026

Whether by church or civil registry, it's time to take part in an unforgettable ceremony, full of memorable moments, such as choosing dresses and wedding rings, the stag and hen parties, the reception and the honeymoon. It's a great party, offered in its entirety by dozens of sponsors and partners who join this initiative every year.

Between the Lisbon Cathedral and the Salão Nobre of the Paços do Concelho, 16 couples will take part in the Santo António Weddings on June 12, an initiative promoted by the Lisbon City Council and organized by EGEAC, with the entire city as guests.

29 years after Lisbon City Council revived the tradition of the Casamentos de Santo António (born in the 1950s and interrupted in 1974), 431 weddings have taken place (296 religious and 135 civil).

To take part in this ceremony, celebrated and witnessed by the whole city, is also to be an integral part of Lisbon's tradition and history. But in order to enrich individual and collective memories, you have to take action: from courtship to engagement, the step is taken.
