A Full Being Here

For the residency proposed in 2001 by Le Quartz and the European Capital of Culture Porto 2001, Vera Mantero set out to think together. She brought together several artists for a month in Brest, with the aim of thinking with them: the choreographers/performers Sabina Holzer, Litó Walkey, João Samões and Martin Nachbar, the writer-performer António Poppe, the musician Boris Hauf and, in the field of visual arts, Nadia Lauro and Helena Inverno.

For four weeks, the questions revolved around: how does energy come about? What makes us move in life, what sets a human being in motion? What creates curiosity, what sets it in motion? How do we get through a life that actually harnesses all its power? The artists spoke, improvised, observed, exchanged and created connections between words, actions, movements, sounds, spaces and objects.

A show that takes several forms, successively or simultaneously: the concert, the lecture, the choreography, the installation... and where the audience will also find its place in different forms, whether in terms of space, time or perception.
