Monsanto - 9 Decades of the Forest Park

The unique story of the creation and evolution of Lisbon's largest green space

Through photographs, documents and testimonies, it reveals how one man's vision and collective effort transformed a mountain range devoid of vegetation into an emblematic forest park.

More than a chronology, this exhibition invites reflection on the past, celebrates the present and inspires the construction of Monsanto's future. Visitors will be able to explore never-before-seen images of the mountains before planting, understand the park's social and environmental impact and hear stories from those who live, work or visit the area.

The exhibition is an invitation to discover the secrets and living memory of the city's green lung.

The activity is part of the educational offer to schools, including guided tours.
