Música
Soloists from the Metropolitana

Starting with the string quartet, the Metropolitana soloists - Nuno Rodrigues and Tolga Kulak on violins, José Freitas on viola and Catarina Gonçalves on cello - explore American sounds: Kapustin's jazz, inspired by radio broadcasts, and Piazzolla's tango, whose Tango Ballet was adapted for quartet by José Bragato.

Música
Soloists from the Metropolitana

The string quartet demands technical rigor and style.

In this program, performed by the Metropolitana Soloists - Tolga Kulak, Anzhela Akopyan (violins), Sérgio Sousa (viola) and Ana Cláudia Serrão (cello) - we hear Beethoven, whose Op.18 reveals expressive maturity, and Borodin, whose third movement gained fame when it was part of the song "And This Is My Beloved".

Soloists from the Metropolitana

The Metropolitana soloists, here in trio - Diana Tzonkova (violin), Ercole de Conca (double bass) and Emanuela Nicoli (harp) - present a program that brings together works by Vivaldi and Piazzolla.

Although separated by two and a half centuries and an ocean, the two composers reveal surprising affinities, highlighted here by the unique sound of this trio.
