India Grangier is the winner of the Women's Tour of Portugal

French cyclist India Grangier won the 4th edition of the Women's Tour of Portugal. The final stage, an individual time trial, took place in Lisbon over a 12.2 km course, starting and finishing at Praça do Império in Belém.

In the general classification, India Grangier was the winner, followed by Titia Ryo, a cyclist of the same nationality, and Daniela Campos, the best Portuguese.

Titia Ryo won the white jersey for best young rider, New Zealander Michaela Drummond won the red jersey for points and India Grangier, who started the race with the yellow jersey she had won in the previous stage, also won the blue jersey for the mountains.

Eight countries were represented in the race, with 137 runners from 21 teams. The 4th edition of the Cofidis Women's Tour of Portugal, supported by Lisbon City Council, took place from July 3 to 7, over a 445.6 km route in five stages, between Vila Nova de Gaia and Lisbon.

"The race is already international in scope and projects our female cyclists worldwide," said Sports Councillor Ângelo Pereira. On July 26, he recalled, Lisbon will host the second stage of the men's Volta a Portugal, "another major national and international event".
