Mundu Nôbu Experience, multiculturalism and inspiration
At the start of the show, Dino D'Santiago expressed the symbolic importance of the venue: "It's an honour for us to be able to be here as dreamers of this Mundu Nôbu, in what is the noblest and most hopeful square in our country." and highlighted the origin of Mundu Nôbu's inspiration to the Brotherhood/Sister Sol social project, whose mission is to support young blacks and Latinos from marginalized communities in the United States.
The event began with a debate in the Archive Room of the Paços do Concelho, with Dino D'Santiago, Sara Batista and Lúcia Garcia. The debate focused on issues of representation and the deconstruction of stereotypes, through a reflection on the challenges of multiculturalism in Portuguese society.
Behind the scenes of the initiative, 160 young people had the opportunity to actively participate in the organization together with the technicians and all the professionals involved in organizing the Mundu Nôbu Experience with the aim of developing critical thinking, reflection and knowledge.
The Mundu Nôbu Association 's mission is to develop skills, promote autonomy and inspire young people through education, social and cultural activities.
This community intervention project, which brings together young people aged between 14 and 18 living in the municipality of Lisbon, is still open for registration.
