Municipality and Startup Portugal give stage to national startups
At the 10th edition of the Web Summit, Lisbon City Council (CML) and Startup Portugal will once again join forces in a shared stand, a collaboration that will expand the national presence at the world's largest technology event and give visibility to the entrepreneurial ecosystem that has grown around the city.
Throughout the four days of the tech summit, CML is highlighting the initiatives of Unicorn Factory Lisboa.
The 324m2 space is home to 180 Portuguese startups, in a rotating model that allows each one to present their projects to investors, companies and potential international partners. One of the stand 's main objectives is to give startups a stage and create opportunities for them to grow and internationalize.
The stand hosts a continuous program of presentations and debates on topics such as innovation, the circular economy, the future of work and technological specialization, strategic areas in which Lisbon has been consolidating its position.
Unicorn Factory Lisboa 's presence at the Web Summit also symbolizes the maturity of an ecosystem that, since 2016, has been affirming Lisbon as a platform for talent, creativity and technology.
According to updated data from Web Summit 2025, the technology event saw a record 71,386 participants from 157 countries. This year, 1,857 investors from 86 countries are taking part, 74% more than in the previous edition.
