Rehabilitation of Romão da Silva village completed in 2025

The project represents an investment of 4.5 million euros, supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, and aims to provide better conditions for residents while preserving the characteristics of this working class village, built in 1900.

A space will also be created for the headquarters of the local Sport Lisboa e Amoreiras club. The auditorium will be open to the town's inner courtyard, contributing to the revitalization of the community space.

While visiting the rehabilitation works of the historic Romão da Silva villa in Campolide, Carlos Moedas highlighted the importance of this intervention for the city. "It's a very important project, because we have to have a city for everyone, where everyone can live. Vila Romão is an example of this. We're rehabilitating 35 dwellings," said the Mayor of Lisbon.

Carlos Moedas added that we are preserving the neighborhood's heritage and identity: "Keeping what has always been Lisbon, which is this identity that also comes from these neighborhoods."
