Ten years since yesterday

Drawing and photography exhibition by Nuno Lacerda

The series of drawings reflects an exercise that Nuno Lacerda has been carrying out for about a decade. In a process of reusing materials, the artist uses the same green acrylic paint, creating a working base, a background that acts as a common denominator, where he drops the ink. Each background is singular, distinct, unique and abstract in the absence of a declared figuration. In this gesture, Nuno Lacerda challenges the white sheet as a vertigo of the unknown. He guides the drawing over a previously trodden field, building images on the crest of others.

In addition to this series of drawings, there is a large-format photograph, whose figure unfolds and announces another work through a QR Code that allows the video Janela (2024) to be viewed.
