European Commissioner for Housing visits Entrecampos subdivision
All the flats in plot 10 were allocated under the Affordable Rent Program (PRA): 68 flats, on 9 floors, with studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom types, in a residential construction area of 6,644 m².
"We can't have a city where only people with great purchasing power live. The city belongs to everyone," says the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, highlighting the importance of access to housing for different groups of the population, with various rental support programs in Lisbon.
The Renda Acessível (Affordable Rent ) program, one of several municipal support programs, is part of the municipality's strategy to mitigate the effects of rising housing prices in the city, and is a solution for families who are looking for a home here and are unable to access the values of the private rental market.
The Entrecampos development - between Avenida 5 de Outubro and Avenida da República - includes 476 homes, with shared use areas (parking, bicycles, storage rooms, multipurpose rooms) and facilities (crèche for 42 children, supermarket, laundry).
With an investment of €25.7 million, co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, a new green park will be created in this area, surrounded by three residential buildings, seven office buildings and 75 retail spaces.
