Condoms

Condoms protect against HIV infection and other sexually transmitted infections, such as Hepatitis B, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea. They can also be used to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

Condoms and information leaflets

There are two types of condom

External (commonly known as male, it is placed, for example, in the penis or in sex toys);
Internal (commonly known as female, placed, for example, in the vagina or anal canal). Condoms are available in various materials, models and sizes.

Lubricating gel

Water-based lubricants (with or without flavors and/or aromas) can be used with any type of condom. Their use is particularly recommended during anal sex, to reduce the likelihood of the condom tearing.
